Lotus of Siam
Overview
Lotus of Siam has been a Las Vegas institution since 1999, when chef Saipin Chutima began serving authentic Northern Thai cuisine in a modest strip mall location. The restaurant gained national attention when food critic Jonathan Gold declared it the best Thai restaurant in North America. In 2011, Chef Chutima won the James Beard Award for Best Chef Southwest. After ceiling damage closed the original location, Lotus of Siam expanded to a second location on Flamingo Road in 2017, though the original has since reopened. Despite the expansion, wait times can still exceed two hours without a reservation.
