Chef Bas opened this tiny 12-seat restaurant in Little Havana in 2015, quickly developing a cult following for his unapologetically authentic Thai cuisine. The restaurant's strict no-modifications policy and unique ordering system (you order everything at once) initially raised eyebrows but ultimately contributed to its mystique. Lung Yai doesn't take reservations, and the wait can stretch to hours during peak times, with diners lining up outside this hole-in-the-wall spot for a taste of Chef Bas's renowned Thai dishes that don't compromise on spice levels or traditional preparation methods.
