Staplehouse

Staplehouse

Atlanta, GA, USA

Overview

Staplehouse began as a supper club run by Ryan and Jen Hidinger. After Ryan's cancer diagnosis in 2012, the Atlanta restaurant community rallied to support them, leading to the creation of The Giving Kitchen, a non-profit that helps food service workers in crisis. Though Ryan passed away in 2014, Jen opened Staplehouse in 2015 with Ryan's sister Kara and her husband Ryan Smith as chef. The restaurant quickly gained national acclaim, being named Bon Appétit's Best New Restaurant in America in 2016. Now operating as a marketplace and tasting menu experience, Staplehouse continues to donate all its profits to The Giving Kitchen.
