Overview

Originally called Oklahoma Joe's, this legendary BBQ joint started in a gas station in 1996 and has since become one of Kansas City's most iconic food destinations. Founded by Jeff and Joy Stehney after success on the competition barbecue circuit, Joe's has been named one of Anthony Bourdain's '13 Places to Eat Before You Die' and consistently ranks among America's best barbecue restaurants. The original gas station location still operates and often has lines out the door.
