Overview

Stroud's has been serving its famous pan-fried chicken since 1933. Originally a roadhouse on the edge of town, it has become a Kansas City institution known for home-style cooking and enormous portions. The restaurant's motto is 'We choke our own chickens' and they're famous for serving meals family-style with mashed potatoes, gravy, and their legendary cinnamon rolls. The Oak Ridge Manor location is housed in a building dating back to 1829 and offers a rustic dining experience.
