Opened in 2014 in a beautifully restored 1903 water works building, Ulele (pronounced You-lay-lee) celebrates the fusion of Florida's indigenous and multicultural roots. Named after a Native American princess, the restaurant is part of the revitalization of Tampa Heights and sits along the Hillsborough River. Ulele features native-inspired foods and spirits, with ingredients primarily sourced from Florida. The restaurant houses its own brewery and boasts an impressive open kitchen with a 10-foot barbacoa grill. Its combination of historical significance, waterfront location, and innovative cuisine focusing on fresh, local ingredients has quickly made it one of Tampa's most popular dining destinations.
