Started in 1995 by two competitive swimmers, Levain Bakery has become NYC's most famous cookie destination. Their massive, gooey cookies weigh in at 6 ounces each and have created a cult following, leading to multiple locations across the city. The original Upper West Side location still draws long lines daily.
